Welcome! We are an organization of more than 200 women who have found ourselves and each other in this beautiful community. We came from across the USA. Some of us just arrived; others have been here a few years. Some of us came here for work, others to retire. We love it here and welcome the opportunity to share the reasons Montana is proud to call itself “the last best place!” Our Purpose -- Gallatin Valley Newcomers Club (GVNC) was created to accomplish these goals: • Develop friendships among new residents as well as existing residents of the community, • Help new residents assimilate into the civic and social activities of the area, and • Raise funds for local charities.
	Interest Groups -- A practical way to assimilate new residents and to develop friendships is through shared interests. To that end, GVNC has numerous groups organized around specific activities, e.g., book clubs, bridge groups, hiking, skiing, gardening, excursions (day trips), astronomy, etc. Members may join any and all they find interesting. Events -- GVNC hosts luncheons and coffees throughout the year as well as an annual Holiday Auction. For more information or to join us for an event, please click on Events. Fundraising -- We’re proud of the many thousands of dollars we’ve raised over the years for local charities. We have been granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS, so you can be assured that monies we raise will be appropriately distributed.
